Bell & Gossett "SU" heat exchanger is an instantaneous type, designed to heat liquids with steam. These units can be connected to any steam boiler or system. The capacity of the boiler should be checked to be sure that it is sufficient to handle the load imposed by the heat exchanger. Some method of controlling the steam flow to the heat exchanger should be installed according to the manufacturers directions. "SU" heat exchangers are available in 2, 4 or 6 pass construction with lenghts up to 10 feet and shell diameters through 30 inches.
